Kevin Thrasher: Common Ground

By  |  May 9, 2013

This week, Kevin Thrasher shows us recreational landscapes in the South and beyond with his series Common Ground. Thrasher writes,

“Recreation takes us from our own backyards, to other places where we can connect with nature or experience moments of leisure. These photographs exist between accepted ideas of landscape and these newer more controlled spaces. People are making the best of the spaces they can access. Many of the locales often sustain the idea of community where people are drawn together for mutual purpose.”

Kevin Thrasher lives in Richmond, VA. He received his MFA from Massachusetts College of Art & Design. His work has been exhibited in the Northeastern and Southern U.S. To see more of his work, visit his website.
