Vintage Charleston

Published  March 4, 2010

Since I probably won't have much time to explore Charleston this weekend, I've been touring the region online. These vintage photographs from the 1940s to the 1970s are from the Jack Keilen Collection at the Lowcountry Digital Archives. Keilen, a chemical engineer and "avid amateur photographer," moved from Pittsburgh to Charleston in the mid-1940s to work in the paper and rubber industries. His colorful collection includes six hundred or so photographs.
