Christy Lorio is a New Orleans–area native who grew up with a swamp for a backyard. A fervent worshipper at the temple of Mardi Gras, she's made costuming her religion. When not seeking out Southern designers, Christy freelances for several publications and makes a damn good Thai peanut sauce. She currently resides in New Orleans with her husband, a retired racing greyhound, and a healthy amount of cats.
