NEWS: The Burger Coalition
The Burger Coalition is a concept in Atlanta and Birmingham with the goal of bringing together people who enjoy great burgers and even better conversation. The dinners are held at different restaurants each month and are limited to five guests who must sign up in advance online.
The Coalition was founded by Dan Gavin and James Martin, both explorers of their cities with an admiration for good food, local business, and engaging new members with diverse viewpoints.
This month, the chosen burger spots were Avo & Dram in Birmingham and George’s in Atlanta. Avo & Dram, known for its gourmet burgers, is nestled in Mountain Brook Village. George’s, located in the Virginia Highland neighborhood, is a forty-two-year-old establishment with a thirty-year-old burger recipe.
